This excerpt (below) is from the HR Expert article “Quick Tip: Analyze Time Types Using Standard SAP Report RPT55400,” by Manuel Gallardo, published November 2011.
In Manuel Gallardo’s quick tip article (posted online at HR Expert on November 16, 2011), the author demonstrates how to use report RPT55400 so that non-technical users can view attendance and absence type configuration tables in display mode and also shows an easy tip for generating lists of available time types without technical support.
In this section of his article, Manuel lays out two of the three most important selection parameters for generating this report.
The three most important selection parameters for this report are:
- Abs./attendance type groupin[g]: These groupings are used to assign a set of attendances or absences to a personnel area. You can leave the value defaulted by the system (range of 1 to 99) if you wish to display all grouping time types. Alternatively, if you wish to focus only on a particular absence or attendance type for a specific employee population, then you can specify a single grouping value. Contact your time management analyst if you wish to get the grouping for a specific set of employees.
- Abs./attendance (A=Abs P=Att): Enter a value of A in this field if you wish to display absences and P if you wish to view attendances. Leave this field blank if you would like to display both attendances and absences at the same time.
