Spring cleaning: Share your big SAP project (and I share a few of mine)

    Tuesday, May 3, 2011, 4:58 PM

    To do:

    1. Make to-do list

    2. Give Insider Learning Network members exclusive materials to download

    3. Host live Q&A with some of the industry's leading experts

There is little in this world more satisfying to me than crossing things off my to-do list. This is why Spring is my favorite season… Spring cleaning doesn’t just apply to cleaning out the garage and the closets (but don't tell my husband that); it also applies to chopping projects off the to-do list. Here are a few things that are on my to-do list this Spring for Insider Learning Network. Please comment below on what tops your list and how you are prioritizing what gets done before summer hits.

One of my big goals this spring was to provide Insider Learning Network members special resources that you couldn't find (for free) elsewhere, like book chapters from popular SAP PRESS titles, session presentations and keynote addresses from SAPinsider events, and articles from SAP Expert publications that are generally only available to paying subscribers. We launched this page about a month ago, but I'm not ready to cross this off my list just yet... We are now in the process of revamping it so that it is more streamlined. By next week you should see brand new navigation, as well as faster-loading videos. And in just two to three weeks we will add nearly a dozen new downloads and deliverables for members, so be sure to check back often.

Also on the list for Spring 2011 was a new editorial calendar for Insider Learning Network. We have already hosted nearly a dozen live Q&A with SAP industry experts, including GRC evangelist Norman Marks, BI guru Dr. Bjarne Berg, and Solution Manager expert Michael Pytel (click on a name to see the transcript from the events). This Spring we are planning several more live Q&A on some of the hottest topics for SAP professionals. Here are just two in the works:

Make sense of your BPC options: Exclusive Q&A on SAP BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation with Scott Cairncross. Join Scott Cairncross - a consultant, SAPinsider conference speaker, and presenter at SAPinsider's BPC Bootcamp seminar - on Wednesday, May 11 from 12:30-1:30pm EST and discuss your BPC options. As part of your registration you also receive a download of Scott's presentation, "Best Practices and Strategies for a Successful Implementation of SAP BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation," previously only available to BI 2011 conference attendees.

Demystify migration to the new SAP General Ledger: An exclusive Q&A with Mitresh Kundalia. Chat live with Mitresh Kundalia, consultant with Quality Systems and Software and SAP Financials expert on Friday, May 20, from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm EST and discuss how you can make your migration to the new G/L a smooth one. Register today and you will also receive an exclusive download of his article “Make SAP General Ledger Migration Cockpit More Flexible by Adding Your Own Activities,” previously only available to Financials Expert subscribers.

You can also look forward to upcoming Q&A on Xcelsius, GRC 10.0, mobility, and HR data management and security. Stay tuned for details. If you have an idea for a topic, just send me a note here on Insider Learning Network.

What is your big SAP Spring cleanup project? Share with me by posting a comment below.
