Network Marketing Recruiting – Podcast Transcript
Welcome to New Breed MLM Radio Episode 4. Today, I want to talk about Network Marketing recruiting and the front-end activities it takes to really get your MLM business going. There’s really four things and a lot of people they digress, they go into other things that aren’t really income producing activities, they’re not really the core of what you need to make happen.
So these four things, in my opinion, cover off what you need to do in regards to prospecting in network marketing. Let’s talk about them.
Network Marketing Prospecting Leads To Network Marketing Recruiting
The number one thing I hear from people is that their business isn’t growing the way they wanted to and the number one reason for that is because they’re not getting enough leads and they’re not recruiting enough personal people. I don’t think I need to say that you should always be recruiting in Network Marketing and putting in frontline people. MLM recruiting doesn’t really need to be a difficult thing but in order for that to happen, there’s four fundamentals. We’re going to talk about them right now.
Generally people believe if they want to increase their sales and if they want to increase their network marketing prospecting then they need to plaster their products, their logos, and their links all over social media. Wrong, not even kind of. Guys that’s spam. Super spammy and it doesn’t work. If you want to increase your sales and if you want to increase your recruiting and really grow your business over the long term you need to get good at marketing. If you want to be big in your company and you want to be big in the industry, then you need to be a professional. Marketing is the first step to recruiting in MLM.
In order to be a network marketing professional, you need to put in the time and the effort to learn the skills of your trade. You need to get good at what you do and that’s through repetition and actually doing the same things over and over again. Learning, growing, and through the process of doing.
If you’re stuck in a rut and you’re not able to move forward, it’s not because you don’t have what it takes to make it with your business or in the industry, it’s because you’re not offering anything of value. You can’t just pop the stuff out from your company, take their sales material and post it on social media, you need to actually put some real value out there to people.
There are so many people in your company and in different companies that are competing with you and they’re trying to get people’s face. Most of them are spamming, so that’s actually good for you because when you stop doing that and you actually market correctly and try to offer some value to people, things will change.
There’s a lot of people out there. Don’t try to go head to head with spam. It’s not gonna happen. It’s not gonna cut through the mix. Instead, be unique and create valuable content for the market that you want to compete in Target that don’t spam create value with the content that you put out There’s a couple ways that you can do this.
You can present it as what it is or the other way is you can present it as what it does. I highly suggest you go with the root of what it does. The difference is with what it is you’re simply saying what the product is and you’re gonna spit out and regurgitate some generic facts about it, ingredients, that kind of stuff.
What it does on the other hand is far more emotional and that’s when people purchase. They make emotional decisions and when people purchase it’s based on an emotion. So you need to really bring forth that emotion with what you’re presenting. So what it does could be simply that it helped you lose some weight to get back into that favourite pair of jeans that you had that you haven’t been into in a couple of years. It helped to boost your confidence making you feel great about yourself again.
Now, all you need to do is decide where you’re gonna put it. What platform are you going to use? Is it gonna be on Facebook? Is it gonna be Instagram live? Maybe a blog article or it could be on YouTube. You name the platform. Any of them will work. And all you want to do is just offer some tips. Usually three is very good start and then you can move up to five and increase the length of your videos as time goes on. But it’s all about value and showing up consistently, because once people understand what you’re about and they see value in the content, they’re going to come back and when they do that they’re gonna refer you to other people. That’s how you increase your following and people that want to follow you and your tribe and what you’re doing. Eventually that’s how you get people joining your team.
So here are three tips to help you with your marketing and to help you with growing your tribe which will lead to increased MLM prospecting and recruiting.
I suggest that you be consistent putting out this content. Preferably do live videos and three to four videos a week can be great. The rest you can fill in with other types of targeted content, like posts and images.
But you gotta be doing that live stuff. I know it’s uncomfortable for a lot of people. It really sucks in the beginning but this is where the reach is guys. This is this is how you get more people seeing your stuff. You can’t just put out one video or two videos and then say doesn’t work and then quit. You need to do it for a while. Facebook needs to realise or whatever platform you’re on needs to realise that you’re the real deal that you want to offer this value consistently and you’re gonna show up. After a while they’ll start putting your stuff out to more and more people.
Show up daily okay. Even if you’re not doing a live video that day do something. Post something, use your stories, whatever it is. People as well as the platform want to know that you are reliable.
You just need to be yourself, have fun, interact with your viewers and the more you do that, the more your stuff’s gonna get pushed up in the feed so more people are going to see it.
The second of the four fundamentals is:
2. Network Marketing Lead Generation
At the end of your live or whatever content you’re putting out you have to have a call to action. Sometimes you’ll see it labelled as CTA. This is gonna tell people what to do next. You want to guide them along the process, don’t just leave it in their hands. Tell them what to do next. This can be something really simple like, just leave a comment below, like my stuff, drop an emoji, whatever it is okay. The most important thing is to also add in “don’t forget to go to my site (give it by name so they know where to go) so you can grab my free resource”. That way there’s something in it for them.
They’ll go there they’ll say, “Oh this is free. I like their content. I’m gonna go grab that.” They go to your website and when they do that they grab it and then they get entered into your email list.
So you’re probably asking yourself what’s this free thing? What’s this free resource that you’re talking about. It can really be anything. If you really think about it you’ve probably seen various people offering to give you something for free and they just want you to put in your email address. That’s exactly what we’re talking about here. And this can be a PDF, it can be a video series, it can be an e-book, whatever you want, just create something with value. And don’t cheap out and under deliver just because it’s free. Always over deliver. Give them something of value, so they’re sitting there going “Wow and I got this for free. This person’s a genius. I love them and I want to check out more other stuff.”
Now that you have people that are opting in, that are getting your free resources, you’re growing your email list. So the next step is you need to build a relationship or build rapport. And you can totally do that on autopilot.
And the reason why is you want people to know, like, and trust you? It’s all about that. That’s what we’re after by getting people onto these email lists. So you can put out an autoresponder series and you can build rapport with them, tell your story about who you are, and be real with them.
So what’s your why? Why did you get into network marketing? This is what you need to relate to people and then go back and explain why and how you got here. Somewhere buried in the reasons why people started in their network marketing business, even if it’s not the forefront, there’s always freedom. They want some kind of freedom. Freedom from their job, they need more money, or more time freedom to spend time with their kids. Whatever it is, there’s some semblance of freedom that they’re after.
That’s why this industry is so popular. I don’t encourage people to hassle friends and family. Why would you jeopardise those relationships? So, that’s why I recommend that people build and prospect using real marketing and automation.
Can we all agree that we don’t want to be a slave to our business?
Yes, you have to put the work in but there’s a fine line. You want to still enjoy your life. You still want to spend time with your family and do the things that you enjoy. Can you imagine a system that worked for you 24/7? That’s what we’re going to talk about and that’s the third of the fundamentals.
3. Building Rapport On Autopilot
These emails that you send out to people, they need to be building rapport through telling stories. Tell them about yourself, share your experiences, and always offer value. Make them believe that they can do it because they can do it.
This is not where you pitch them products or the opportunity.
Even though you are a Network Marketing prospecting machine you don’t want to come across that way.
So, it’s not the hard sell location. You want to be a person first? You want them to say “I like this person and I want to get to know more about them”. Then from there, that’s where they’ll trust you and then they’ll more than likely reach out to you. You won’t have to reach out to them.
Here’s the thing guys, people usually do not commit right on the spot. On average it takes seven follow-ups until they’re ready to commit and that can be for a purchase of a product and it can be for your opportunity. Whenever there’s a decision to be made generally it’s going to take about seven rounds of following up with them.
That’s a lot, and if you’re doing it in person, over messenger, over text, it’s going to chew up a lot of your time. So why not automate that? You can use any kind of media in them. They can be written emails, you can insert audio links, video links, you name it. That way you can get real personal with these things.
Always keep in mind, whatever you do duplicates. So if people are seeing that you’re having to run your pins off and message people like crazy, if they’re picking up on that they think they have to do that, it’s really going to slow them down or is going to drive them off. They’re going to feel like they can’t do it or they don’t want to do it because they want to have more freedom. So if you offer something and you’re showing them something where they’re able to go in and just put out some emails to help with their network marketing prospecting process and it’s on autopilot and they can live their life while they build their business… That’s gold.
Business is all about sales. The entire purpose of doing all this is either to make the sale or to get that recruit joined on with you. After all recruiting and prospecting is a variation of selling. And I think we can all agree that unless you’re getting those recruits and unless you’re making those sales the business isn’t going to last long.
You need to make those things happen. So sales are important. Prospecting is important.
That’s why you have to focus on it and everything leads to this. Everything funnels down into this last step. So at the bottom of your emails there’s a footer section and you can put links in there for other things. Social media profiles, groups, basically it’s it’s a place where you can put links to direct them to where you want them to go next.
In this section you want to put a work with me link This link is going to take them off to a form with a questionnaire and they’re going to apply to join your team. They have to fill out all these questions and they’re applying to join you.
So if you look at this for a second, things have completely changed. It’s all about the psychology and you’re no longer chasing them, you’re not contacting them, they’re contacting you. They have to sell themselves on why you should take them onto your team. Big difference and it really helps out with recruiting people onto your team.
And there you have it. Those are the four fundamentals to MLM prospecting, and if you can get good at these, everything will change for your MLM recruiting efforts and everything will change in your overall business results.
It’s gonna take a little bit of work and take some practice. This is not some magical formula where everything’s gonna change overnight for you. This is gonna take some time.
I think that’s worth it, especially if you can teach it and duplicate it!
So, let’s recap. The four fundamentals on the front end of your business are:
#1 – Marketing
#2 – Lead Generation
#3 – Building Rapport
#4 – Sales.
That’s it. As you can see these all fit into what is know as Network Marketing recruiting and also perfectly with what we spoke about in the last podcast about funnels and setting up your infrastructure.
This all works hand in hand. It works beautifully together and you can g crazy results. It makes everything so much more fun to build and when people see that it can duplicates like crazy, everybody wants to do this. They don’t want to bother people, it’s one of the biggest turnoffs with MLMs.
If they can have a way that they can create content and have people coming to them and then build rapport on autopilot, they’re in! That’s what everybody’s looking for.
That’s all I have for today guys, but I hope you got great value from this. I hope you can see the potential of what this can offer. So implement this, get it working for you. You’re going to be so impressed and it’s going to make you fall in love with your business all over again.
All right, we’ll talk soon.
